TETFund’s R&D Department Bags 2020 Service Excellence Award

The Department of Research and Development /Centres of Excellence of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has been announced winner of the 2020 Award for Service Excellence by the SERVICOM Unit of the Fund, in recognition of its commendable performance and innovations in R&D Programmes.

The award was presented by the National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, during the 2020 TETFund Customer Week themed Tertiary Education Trust Fund: Re-Imaging Service Delivery In The Face Of Covid-19 Pandemic Era, held at the Fund’s office in Abuja recently.

Speaking at the event, the SERVICOM National Coordinator lauded the giant strides recorded by the Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro-led Management at TETFund, as well as the formulation and publication of the Fund’s Service Charter and support to the SERVICOM arm of the Fund.

Mrs. Akajemeli  advised  staff of the Fund to apply new strategies in service delivery that reflect the ‘new normal’ brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, urging them to nurture an environment of healthy competition in the work place.

Giving his welcome address, the Executive Secretary who was represented by TETFund’s Director of Finance and Investments, Alhaji Idris Saidu reiterated President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to national development through the institutionalization of Research and Development in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary stressed the importance of TETFund adopting a new modus operandi as a way of navigating through the prevailing changes in the global economy to ensure delivery of excellent service to Beneficiary Institutions and other stakeholders.

Other activities featured in the week-long event included paper presentations on “Redefining Service Excellence in the Face of Covid-19 Pandemic” and “Customer Service Delivery: Building a Strong Customer Team” as well as inter-departmental visits by the SERVICOM Unit.
