The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), His Excellency Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has been honoured with the prestigious This Day Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of democracy, education and national development.
The award was presented to Hon. Masari by the Chairman of This Day Media Group and Arise News, Mr. Nduka Obaigbena at a ceremony held to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of This Day Newspaper and 12th year Anniversary of Arise News.
Speaking at the event, the TETFund BOT Chairman expressed appreciation to the management of This Day and Arise News for the honour.
He commended Mr. Obaigbena for his resilience and hard work in making his dreams come to reality, noting that their relationship had come a long way.
“I thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the support given to us and I will also like to appreciate the management and staff of TETFund for living up to their responsibilities.
‘’Regardless of the many challenges we are facing as a nation and with an agency like ours with prudent management of resources at our disposal, and applying them to critical areas necessary, we are surely going to achieve more and get better results,” he said.
While acknowledging that the scope of coverage of the Fund’s activities keeps increasing with more public tertiary institutions coming on stream, the Board Chairman expressed confidence that adhering to rules and regulations on the part of all concerned would still be fruitful at the end.
