The Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro has disclosed that the positive strides being recorded by the Fund are gaining the recognition of top stakeholders in the country, including President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu and other top cabinet officials.
The Executive Secretary made the disclosure at the 2020 TETFund Management Retreat held in Abuja recently.
Prof. Bogoro stated that the Fund has continued to receive commendations from several quarters on its contributions to the developmental efforts of the country and TETFund staff should be proud of their performance.
While commending the staff for the good reputation earned for TETFund, he admonished them to strive towards its sustenance. He assured that Management would continue to provide a conducive working environment for them but would not hesitate to apply sanctions where there is need.
Speaking on the Fund’s Zonal Offices which were reopened recently, the Executive Secretary stated that the offices would serve as interface between beneficiary institutions across the six geo-political zones and the Head Office in Abuja to ensure ease of operations.
Prof. Bogoro added that the decision to send some Directors and Deputy Directors sometime back to take charge of affairs at the zonal offices was to enable them use their wealth of experience to nurture the offices for full take-off before handing over to Zonal Coordinators.
